Pałac Alexandrinum is a four-star palace hotel in a 12-hectare park, approximately 13 kilometres from the Warsaw city boundary. Its accommodation and grounds make it appealing to couples who want a palace setting without building the wedding day around several transfers.

I have photographed a couple at Alexandrinum. Its pale architecture and greenery give portraits two complementary settings close to one another. The grounds also offer room for a short pause together without planning a separate trip away from the celebration.

Photographer's note: Ask to see the exact getting-ready room and your planned ceremony spot at the time of day you will use them. Both affect the light far more than photographs of an empty reception room can show.

2. Pałac Mała Wieś

Around 50 kilometres from Warsaw, Pałac Mała Wieś combines a historic palace, gardens, a hotel and several spaces for celebrations, including the Nowa Oranżeria. It is worth considering if you want a palace wedding with the option to accommodate guests at the estate.

The choice of spaces is its practical advantage. It also means that a couple should decide early where each part of the day will happen. A beautiful ceremony site is less useful if guests must cross the property repeatedly or if the indoor rain plan does not work for your group.

Photographer's note: During your visit, walk the route from your preparation room to the ceremony and then to dinner. Ask which gardens are available for portraits during your event and how the chosen reception space looks after dark.

3. Pałac w Jabłonnie

Pałac w Jabłonnie offers historic rooms, parkland and guest accommodation. It may suit a couple who wants a classical Polish palace atmosphere close to Warsaw, especially when some family members would benefit from staying at the venue.

For a wedding gallery, the contrast between formal interiors and open parkland can give the story variety without adding a separate portrait location. When considering an outdoor ceremony, ask the venue which spaces are included in your booking and what happens in poor weather.

4. Pałac Rozalin

At Pałac Rozalin, the nineteenth-century palace, orangery, park, restaurant spaces and boutique accommodation provide several ways to plan the celebration. Couples can choose a more intimate palace setting or a larger event in the orangery.

The variety is attractive, but you do not need to use every part of the estate. A simpler route between the ceremony, cocktails, portraits and reception can give you more time with your guests and make the photographs feel less hurried.

Photographer's note: Ask the venue to show you your proposed layout as a complete sequence, including the rain plan. Then choose one or two portrait settings that are genuinely close to the events.

5. Dwór Afrodyta and Hotel Afrodyta

Dwór Afrodyta is the wedding venue in the Radziejowice area; Hotel Afrodyta Business & Spa provides nearby accommodation and spa facilities. They are connected, but the manor and the main hotel are separate buildings, so confirm where you and your guests will get ready and stay.

I photographed a bride walking with her father at Dwór Afrodyta. Moments like this can pass quickly, which is why I like to build a little breathing space into the transition before the ceremony rather than schedule every minute around posed photographs.

Photographer's note: If preparations happen in the hotel and the ceremony or reception is at the manor, allow time for the short move between buildings. Check the room you will actually use for preparations, including its daylight and space for family.

The important decision here is which parts of the property genuinely match your celebration. A palace preparation room and a loft reception will create a different visual story from a day centred on the palace and gardens.

8. Hotel Bellotto

The hotel interiors can carry much of the visual character of the day. A brief portrait session outside can add the city itself without turning the wedding into a lengthy photoshoot.

Photographer's note: Consider the timing of an Old Town portrait session. Streets can be busy, so a concise plan and a nearby alternative inside the hotel are useful.

9. Villa Foksal

Villa Foksal combines a city address with a garden and a year-round orangery. It is worth viewing if you want greenery around your reception while keeping the celebration in central Warsaw.

The garden and orangery offer contrasting settings within the same venue. They can also help you make a coherent plan for changeable weather, provided you confirm how each space will be arranged for your guest count.

Photographer's note: Ask to see the orangery at the time your dinner will start, not only in daylight. Check where preparations will happen, since guest accommodation may need to be arranged separately.

10. Restauracja Belvedere

Restauracja Belvedere is in Warsaw's Łazienki Królewskie park, in the New Orangery. It appeals to couples who want a reception shaped by food, garden views and a refined city setting.

The surrounding park makes a short portrait session tempting, but it is best to plan that session around your event and confirm the arrangements for any photography and subsequent use of the images with the relevant venue or park authorities.
